Destination Wedding at Torre de Palma
What a day at Torre de Palma Wine Hotel! Weddings in Alentejo are always such good fun, gotta love country side.
When Maria João and Pascal contacted me and told a bit of their story and plans for the wedding, I instantly felt how excited they were and it got me excited as well!
This was the awesome message they sent me:
“Our wedding will be a bit of a mix. I (Maria João) am Portuguese, born in Leiria. I've studied in the Netherlands, lived in London and now just moved to Zurich, straight from Hong Kong. Pascal is my Swiss boyfriend, that feels like he was born in Italy. Dark and (very) handsome, Pascal is a happy camper who has also live in the US and in Beijing, so we share a passion for travelling and, of course, Asia. We are expecting 100 guests from all the places we've lived in, and our biggest wish is to have a wonderful day, with good food, some sort of a representation of both our backgrounds and, of course... a great party!”
After reading this message, we booked a meeting on Skype and talked for a long time, had good laughs and it all made sense. Their ideas and our mood were on the same page since the beginning and I’m grateful for meeting such kind souls.
We arrived early so we could catch some relaxed times at the pool and from then on, everything went smoothly and perfect, all because of Maria João and Pascal’s calm and joyful mood. They made a perfect planning for their day, a beautiful design hotel with a fantastic decor, the seating plan outside with the long tables was a great idea and the party was a blast!
